National Club Rugby Championship will be taking place this year will be hosted by Western Province at Stellenbosch from 9-15 September. Rovers will be representing KZN.


Johann Muller becomes the first Harlequins Springbok captain in the Bluff club's short but illustrious history. Rovers have had two Bok captains in Roy Dryburgh and Gary Teichmann. Durban Collegians have also had two world-renowned leaders in Tommy Bedford and Wynand Claassen while Philip Nel, the legendary 1937 rugby icon who led the Springboks to that historic series win in New Zealand, captained South Africa out of Maritzburg Collegians.


The draw for the 2007 Captain Morgan Murray Cup Knock-out competition will take place on Monday 16 July at 6.30pm at The Absa Stadium Durban. There can be no doubt that the holders of the most priceless piece of silverware at the KNRU, InspectaCar College Rovers, are going to be hard pressed to retain the impressive 117 year old trophy with ARB Old Boys having already beaten them in a ChemSpec Premier Division league game recently. This years competition looks destined to be one of the most exciting yet.
