1. LEAGUE COMPETITIONS
1.1 FIDELITY SECURITY Premier Division League - Moor Cup (8 teams):
Two league rounds consisting of 14 matches for each team will be played on a home and away basis.

The team accumulating the most log points in the Premier Division shall be awarded the Fidelity Security Moor Cup and will represent KwaZulu-Natal in the 2012 National Club Championships. (15 - 21 September).
1.2 Premier Reserve Division League – Wylie Cup:
The Second XV will follow their First XV - see 1.1 above. The team accumulating the most log points in the Premier Reserve Division will be awarded the Wylie Cup.
1.3 First Division League – Dewar Shield:
The First Division has been divided into two sections:
1.3.1 North Section (6 teams):
Vryheid
Volksrust
Newcastle Highlanders
Piet Retief
Ladysmith
Sentraal
Two league rounds consisting of 10 matches for each team will be played on a home and away basis.
1.3.2 First Division Reserves League:
The Second XV will follow their First XV in their respective section - see 1.3.1 above. With the inclusion of Pongola 1st XV and Sentraal 1st XV.
1.3.3 South Section (8 teams):
Two league rounds consisting of 14 matches for each team will be played on a home and away basis.

The teams accumulating the most log points in the North Section will play against the team accumulating the most log points in the South Section (neutral venue). The winner shall be awarded the First Division Dewar Shield.
1.3.4 First Division Reserves League:
The Second XVs will follow their First XV in their respective section (see 1.3.3 above).
The teams accumulating the most log points in the North Section will play against the team accumulating the most log points in the South Section (neutral venue). The winner shall be awarded the First Division Reserves Brian Irvine Cup.
1.5 Under 20 ‘A’ Division – Frank Norris Trophy (6 teams)
Two league rounds consisting of 10 matches for each team will be played on a home and away basis.

1.6 Under 20 ‘B’ Division – Kings Park Challenge Cup (8 teams)

Three league rounds consisting of 12 games for each team will be played on a home and away basis.

1.8 U19 Division – Pete Booysen Cup (8 teams)
Two league rounds consisting of 18 games for each team will be played on a home and away basis.

The team accumulating the most log points in the U19 Division will be awarded the Pete Booysen Cup.
2. KNOCK-OUT COMPETITIONS
These dates and venues will be determined by the KZNRU Fixtures Committee.
2.1 Castle Murray Cup Knockout Competition
The eight (8) teams in the Premier Division, together with the top three (3) teams from the First Division North and the top five (5) teams from the First Division South will compete for the Castle Murray Cup competition, which will be played on a Knock-out basis. For the Qualifying round, the eight (8) First Division Clubs will be drawn against the eight (8) Premier Division Clubs with the fixture to be played at the First Division Club venue. The winners will continue to compete for the Castle Murray Cup and the losing teams will compete for the Junior Murray Cup. There will be a Quarter and Semi-Final draw for teams qualifying for the Castle Murray Cup. The KZNRU Fixtures Committee will together with the sponsor adjudicate the venue for the Semi's and Final by means of a Venue Hosting Tender.
2.2 Peter Taylor Trophy
The 16 Club 2nd XV teams are not involved with a Qualifying round. Only after their 1st XV team has won their Qualifying round of the Castle Lager Murray Cup will the second teams start their Knockout Competition and compete for the Peter Taylor Trophy, which is played on a knockout basis. The KZNRU Fixtures Committee will determine the venues for the Semi's and Final.
2.3 Junior Murray Cup
Clubs participating in the Knockout Competition that are unsuccessful in the Qualifying round of fixtures will continue to compete for the Junior Murray Cup, which is played on a knockout basis. KZNRU Fixtures Committee will determine the format, venues at a later stage.
2.4 Keith Parkinson Cup
The 16 Club 2nd XV teams are not involved with a Qualifying round. Only after their 1st XV team has lost their Qualifying round of the Castle Lager Murray Cup will the second teams start their Knockout Competition and compete for the Keith Parkinson Cup, which is played on a knockout basis. KZNRU Fixtures Committee will determine the format and venues at a later stage.
2.5 3rd Division - Findlay Cup
The following teams will contest the Findlay Cup which will be based on a knock-out system.

Under 20 'A' Division - Frank Norris Trophy
The Six (6) teams on completion of one round of the league in the Under 20 'A' Division will compete for the Basil Medway Trophy which will be played as a knock-out bases. The draw will be seeded after one round of league.
2.8 Under 20 'B' Division - Kings Park Challenge Cup
The Eight (8) teams in the Under 20 'B' Division will compete for the D. W. Geddie Cup which will be played on a knock-out basis. The draw will be seeded after two rounds of league.
2.9 Under 21 Division - KZNRU Cup
The top (4) teams in the Under 20 'C' Division will compete for the Chris Edwards Cup which will be played on a knock-out basis. The draw will be seeded after three rounds of league.
2.10 Under 19 Division - KZNRU Cup
The Eight (8) teams in the Under 19 'D' Division will compete for the Ashley Bowls Cup which will be played on a knock-out basis. The draw will be seeded after two rounds of league.
