Jonsson College Rovers, the KZNRU representatives in this year’s Community Cup, played a friendly game against FNB UKZN Impi - the side representing the province in the Varsity Shield competition - on Tuesday evening at Howard College.

The match was played in the true spirit of the game with both sides looking at combinations as they start their final preparations for their respective competitions.

The teams came together at the end of the chukkas with coaches Greg Miller and Beans Bateman from Rovers and John Mitchell and Butch James from Varsity wishing each other well for the upcoming National Rugby Competitions
