New chairman at Rovers

Former Vice President of the KZNRU, Juno Fourie, returns to grassroots after being elected as the new Chairman of Jonsson College Rovers Rugby Club. Juno Fourie, regional manager KZN of Fidelity Security, current sponsors of the Moor Cup Premier Division competition, comes with vast experience in rugby administration and is sure to give the club newfound direction as it prepares for the 2014 Cell C Community Cup National Club Rugby competition.

Fourie, who takes over from Abonga Nkwelo who has had to step down because of work commitments, was also a former President of the Southern Natal Rugby Union, is very excited about his new position in the Premier Division and looks forward to working with his new club.

"I'm very honoured and privileged to now be in the chair of the oldest rugby club in Durban and second oldest club in KwaZulu Natal, certainly a club with a very proud history."

Fourie will take over the club, which is now in a strong position as they prepare for their second year competing in the Community Cup. With new players joining the club, including former Springbok wing Jongi Nokwe and Shark, Dusty Noble, and a number of other high quality players, the club looks to continue its successes of previous years.

Rovers'first fixture in this year's Community is at home (KP3) on the 8th March.
