The UKZN Impi have been hard at work at their year-end training camp for the past two weeks. The camp will culminate in an ambitious fixture against the Investec International Rugby Academy on at UKZN’s Howard College (Durban campus) on Friday 14 December (kick off 4pm).

The Academy team, under the tutelage of former Springbok coaches Ian McIntosh and Dick Muir, as well as David Campese (Australia), Murray Mexed (New Zealand) and UKZN alumnus Ryan Strudwick, features prospective professional rugby players selected from across South Africa and beyond.

UKZN will use the opportunity to provide game time to some of their new signings, which include Sharks U21 lock Corne Neuwenhuis, as well as Jeandre Smal, the former NWU-Pukke utility back.
