Durban Pallets Supporting Rugby in KZN

Durban Pallets (Pty) Ltd have come on board to support the KZNRU and Sharks Rugby by way of a generous sponsorship which will essentially go towards the development and transformation of KZN referees.

KZNRU CEO, Pete Smith, commented that it was great to see ex-Maritzburg Varsity lock forward Clive Murphy (Director/Owner of Durban Pallets) giving back to the game and the Union was most grateful.

Burton Hufkie, the KZNRU Referee Manager, had this to say: "This support will assist us in upskilling our referees and ensuring they perform to the highest standard. Two of our young up and coming referees, Sanele Mdlalose and Graciano Pienaar, are already benefitting from this sponsorship as it assisted them to attend The Sharks Academy Referees Programme".

Mr Murphy was more than happy for his sponsorship to contribute toward the well-being of referees in this province noting that, "There is no doubt that proper refereeing is a key component to the successful and enjoyable playing of rugby and I am pleased to be able to assist in this important area."
