While our boytjies are obviously disappointed after losing a close fought final in Bloem, they have another crack at promotion this coming Monday in Potch, when they play UJ at 2.15pm (live on SuperSport1). The Impi had a nervy start to the final, but clawed they way back and were in fact leading with less than 8 minutes to play.

All was not lost, however, as UKZN students picked up three major Varsity Shield awards: Miss Varsity Shield 2014 (Michelle Crichton), Forward of the tournament (Lwazi Ncgungama) and back of the tournament (Shayne Makombe).
